When we have "the courage of our convictions" we are in a state of grace... nothing stands between intention and the actions to make them happen.
I'm currently writing a book on communicating skills, covering every relevant topic for giving riveting presentations, comments, interviews & opinions. Sifting back and forth over the content to ensure that it's accurate, concise and encouraging has been fascinating.
As a coach, I'm guided by the courage of my convictions about what makes a speaker interesting and eloquent. These convictions have produced consistently strong results for my clients, so I trust them. When I sit down to condense and put in writing what I normally verbalize, I must be sure of each word because that's all I have to work with.
This close inspection of my beliefs has shown me again that these skills can be taught to anyone; and everyone can succeed in public. I want to take any mystery and fear-based thinking out of the subject, and show people what they need to learn and what they need to forget. It's time to claim our freedom of speech.
